Alexander Sawmills´ 30th Anniversary

November 2005 has seen a remarkable anniversary for Ten-25 Software - the 30th anniversary of our relationship with our longest-standing customer!

Alexanders' Sawmills became Ten~25 Software's first customer when the software house was known as SH Computer Services, and was a subsidiary of Sherry & Haycock Timber Merchants. In the subsequent years, Ten~25 was born as an independent, family-run company, Alexanders' Sawmills has grown in size and we have even passed a millennium landmark along the way!

Alex O'Hara, the Group Finance Director believes "our original investment has been repaid many times over, of course. One of the most important aspects of this successful partnership has been the continuity provided by Ten~25 - the original founders, Baird and Norman, are still very much involved 30 years on."

Both customer and product have grown alongside each other. When STRIP was first installed, it served as a stock and sales tool, but over the years has expanded into aiding the production and retail sides of the business. With Alexanders' investing more heavily in its House Kit/Truss plant at Troon, this trend is set to continue. Alexanders' are looking forward to next year's transition to STRIP5, which will of course be the fifth generation of Ten~25 product that they will use. In an industry which has seen so many products (and their providers) come and go, the stability of a 30-year partnership is testament to both sides' ongoing success.
