Features & Benefits
Here are just a few of the features from the standard STRIP5 Sales Order Processing Module
- Automatic quote retrieval – When adding a new quote or order, if a product that the customer has been quoted for before is selected the previous quotes are displayed. The user can review when the quote was made, for what quantity, to which delivery address and the price and margin achieved. They can then select that price or continue to use current pricing.
- Live Stock Picture – When making sales get a live product stock picture (subject to product being stock controlled), showing current and future stock at the users branch. Users can drill down to see stock at other branches and locations.
- Simple Milling and Processing – Users can quickly add up to 6 processes to a sales line. This adds to the description of the goods and can uplift the cost and selling price. Using Mill and Return Lines users can specify what a customer’s order will be made from and any useful stock to be returned.
- Delivery Address Database – You can hold up to 999 delivery addresses against a customer record. The user can search these to add to an order. Additional information such as contact details for that site can be stored and printed on delivery documentation.
- Sales by Multiple Currencies – Customers can be set up to use any currency. When a sale is made a default exchange rate is taken from the currency table, and can be fixed when the actual rate is known.
- Link Sales to Forward Orders – When selling against stock that has yet to be delivered to you, the order can either be left as an allocation to yard stock, or can be attached to a specific purchase order or forward contract. This links the sales and purchase document and can be used as a delivery prompt when the goods are received.
- Pricing by Customer, Quantity, Delivery Method – Product pricing has many features within STRIP5. The simplest automatic pricing uses product price tables. These tables can offer 12 columns of mark-up or discount based on the customer, the quantity purchased or the delivery method. Advanced users may wish to use Best Pricing where a product price table can account for multiple price methods, giving the customer the best they can get (e.g. price for customer type and quantity – if a retail customer buys a large quantity they get a good price, but a good trade customer will get the good price regardless of the quantity purchased).
- Instant Change of Price Unit – On a sales line users can change instantly between the units in which a product is priced. This allows users to express quantity in the unit understood by the customer. The units of measure available are set by the stock method of the product, so you would never be able to sell a cubic metre of hammers! (Units include – each, box, bag, palette, pack, pair, 10, dozen, 100, 1000, metre, ft, metric ft, square metre, square ft, 10 square metres, cubic metres, cubic ft, Hoppus, standards, gms, kgs, tonnes and fixed).
- Input and amend quantity by specification – Unlike some general merchanting systems, STRIP5 gives the user the opportunity to input a measured specification, and more importantly to amend the quantity right through the order processing cycle.
- Sell Packs by common measure or individual detail – Timber packs can be handles on the STRIP5 system as either standard measured items, as easy to buy stock and sell as any unit product, or to a measured specification, showing the specific lengths in that uniquely identified pack.
- View Transport Run Details – If you are using the optional transport planning module, sales users can view the transport run details against an order. This includes the date to be delivered, vehicle and driver details and the drop number on that run.
- View Production Status of milled Orders – Users can look on an order to see the progress of the order as a whole, showing the status of the least ready line, got to the individual lines to see how far through the picking, milling and despatching process they are.
- Barcode identification of Products – Standard within Sales Order Processing is the handling of multiple barcodes against products. Simply add a barcode scanner to a users PC or character terminal to aid fast and accurate product lookup.
