What does STRIP5 run on?
STRIP5 is UNIX or Linux based. UNIX and Linux are capable, reliable and professional data handling systems used as the backbone for the Internet.
C-ISAM is the database that handles all of the data. VB.net is the language that STRIP5 is programmed in.
Is it Windows?
Yes and no - there is no version of STRIP5 that runs solely on a PC or Windows server. However, STRIP5 is run from a PC, Notebook or other thin client device. It will share data with other PC software though its ODBC links and run on the same network as your Windows server for e-mail and application sharing.
Can I use my existing PC's and printers?
Yes - subject to approval by Ten~25 technical staff.
Can I use my own financials?
Yes - there are currently four standard offerings for a STRIP5 system.
· UniLEDG was developed with UniSTRIP and offers seamless integration.
· Sage Link updates the Sage Sales Ledger from STRIP5 Invoicing and returns customer balances.
· Exchequer Financials from Iris are tightly integrated and offer the latest in functionality - www.iris.co.uk
· A Great Plains link is available for customers, however Ten~25 are not active resellers for Great Plains.
If you wish to use your own ledgers, Ten~25 will need to establish that data can be imported and exported between the two systems. The data sharing will not be automatic as it is with UniLEDG or Exchequer.

How much are upgrades?
Free. The cost of software upgrades is included in the maintenance contract. The only additional charges will be in the use of media, of which Ten~25 are happy to reuse existing media, and any modem or on-site time requested by yourselves for installation. Upgrades do not usually require installation by Ten~25 technicians.
How much is it going to cost?
STRIP5 is available from £12,595 for a 3 user system.
Rental systems are now available from £475 a month for a 5-user system.
A STRIP5 system is made up of:
· A UNIX/Linux server
· Operating software (UnixWare/Linux, C-ISAM and MEGA)
· STRIP5 software
· Additional Hardware (VDU's, PC's, printers and barcode devices)
· Additional software (Automated Fax, BACS, Report generator and ODBC)
· Maintenance costs
· System services (Installation, implementation, training and project management)
If I ordered it today when would it go live?
The system will be delivered to you within a month of order with the converted data on. After installation the training program begins. Some customers with modest requirements, or an urgent deadline, have completed the training within the following month. However, with diary constraints, it is more typical for an implementation to take two or three months to complete.
How long a contract will I be tied into?
Unlike some suppliers Ten~25 believes that a customer should not be obliged to sign up for a fixed period of time. We operate a rolling contract with a 3-month termination period at any time.
