Ten~25 Software Ltd. can trace its roots back thirty years, when the first system specifically for the Timber Industry with Sales Order Processing, Stock Control and Management Information facilities was developed.
This was the groundbreaking STRIP system, an innovative design that has spawned an extended family of trading system products.
STRIP provided an unprecedented level of control for Timber Importers, Merchants and Retailers, establishing a lead within the Industry that Ten~25 Software holds to this day. A wealth of experience in trading systems design and development has been accumulated, with specialist systems now also available for Builders' Merchants and Metals Stockholding.
The 1990's saw the advent of "Open Systems" computing as a widely accepted standard, enabling Ten~25 Software to re-develop the core software and take advantage of latest technological advances. The UniSTRIP range was then brought to market, operating under Unix and so available on PC. This superseded the original STRIP software that had run on ICL Systems 10 and 25.
The UniSTRIP system, and its successor STRIP5, offers affordable high level computing to a wider market segment - organisations large and small can now enhance the standard of customer service they provide and so gain competitive advantage. The user-base has grown to around 70 companies on over 150 sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
From the very start, Ten~25 Software determined the principle of providing quality system hardware, support and training services to complement the trading system software. Early customers were selecting their first computer system and appreciated the benefits of sourcing from a single supplier committed to the provision of quality solutions.
Ten~25 Software remains committed to the provision of quality trading system solutions. Product development is on going and is in the hands of the original STRIP system creator and his design team, and is a continually evolving system. Training and support staff with relevant industry experience bring high level expertise to system implementation, user training and on-going bespoke development.
Customer service is key to the success of Ten~25 Software - the philosophy that remains at the heart of the company's strategic objectives into this new century.
