Features & Benefits
Here are just a few of the features from the standard STRIP5 Purchase Order Processing Module
- Automatic negotiated price retrieval – senior buyers can log any deals they have negotiated with suppliers on the system. When a User goes to input a purchase order to that supplier the negotiated price will be used automatically.
- Live Stock Picture with future orders – enquiry of a product shows the future orders split into bulk Contract commitments, goods On-Order and shipments In-Transit. Users can drill down into the purchases that make up those figures.
- Suggested reorder reporting – sales and usage figures, fed into forecast algorithms give both the current stock holding in weeks, and a suggested re-order report. The suggested re-order report groups products by preferred supplier, showing products that will definitely require replenishment and additional products from that supplier that may be ordered to make up a minimum order value.
- Supplier product lookup – When looking up products the list can be filtered to just those for which a particular supplier is the preferred source.
- Simple Product Quantity and pack entry – When placing purchase orders the quantity of entry can be different from the units in which you stock or sell that product (i.e. you may Sell a product by the piece, stock it by the metre, but purchase it by the cubic metre).
- Automatically create back orders for short deliveries – When the quantity delivered is less than the original purchase order quantity the system will offer the user the choice of automatically creating a back order, or cancelling the balance. The new back order will retain the original order number with a suffix.
- Live Supplier web-links – Supplier and product web-links provide an up-to-date source of information on product details, health and safety information, stock availability, pricing offers and product images.
- Report on sales and usage trends – The Crystal Reports from the system can show not just sales of products in value and by measure, but also usage – useful if a product is used as raw stock for making other saleable items.
